Physics can exist without chemistry because physics is a fundamental branch of science that studies the natural world and its behavior, including the fundamental properties of matter and energy, motion, and the interactions between them. It deals with the laws of nature and how they operate, independent of the specific materials or substances involved.

Chemistry, on the other hand, is a branch of science that deals with the study of the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter, particularly at the molecular and atomic level. While chemistry is closely related to physics, it focuses on the behavior and properties of specific substances and their interactions with other substances, rather than the fundamental laws of nature.
In other words, while chemistry builds upon the principles of physics, it is not necessary for the existence of physics. Physics can exist independently of chemistry, but chemistry cannot exist independently of physics.
